Bible In A Year
This is an internship project where I am helping create a 6 volume set of books for prisoners so they can read the Bible in a year. Prisoners are an underserved community that the Catholic Church is trying to reach out to. I started the project by re-creating newsletters to market the project to donors to support the project. The final project would be a six-volume set that could be printed and distributed to prisoners or other groups and available digitally. I redesigned the branding for the newsletter and created multiple options for the client using Adobe Illustrator and Indesign. I used this design to create the actual newsletter.

Brand Guidelines for Catholic Relief Services
Catholic Relief Services is a religious nonprofit organization that supports all. underserved groups worldwide. The focus of my project was to use compelling visual images to convey the look and feel of Catholic Relief Services. I researched the company's, different publications, website, and social media to look for Design Elements and Principles. I replicated the use of their own images, color palette, and typography. The photographs are the main design element of their website and the Brand Guidelines emphasize this idea. I replicated the use of these photographs and had them enlarged to bleed to the edges of the page. I found that CRS was very effective in their message and goals just through photographs and quotations. They are inspiring and give a positive sense of hope that they can accomplish their goals which encourages people to donate or support. This project was created using Adobe

Diana Reborn
This piece is a portrait collage in honor of Princess Diana Spencer who was known as the People’s Princess. She lived a very difficult life when she was married to Prince Charles. The collage symbolizes how she was reborn after she left him with the burden of the crown lifted from her. The newspapers reflected a key component in her life, the paparazzi which eventually killed her. The center of the photograph is from a picture I took in Paris at the location where she passed away. The monument is the flame of liberty which symbolizes her freedom as well as the passion she had for her children and everyone who she served. When she died, she became free from the burden of the paparazzi and the newspapers which never gave her any freedom or peace. I used Adobe Photoshop and photography for this project.
Freedom
This art piece is a collage about Freedom. The images show how to let yourself be free both physically and mentally. The composition and values of the shapes show freedom in different ways. For example, the art piece has circles, triangles and small rectangles organized in a way to show lightness. This piece also represents freedom by letting loose and doing whatever makes you free and freedom means expressing yourself. Once we are free, we are weightless and enjoy the feeling. I made this design using Procreate.
